Handles all policies and processes related to the Return to Title IV processes.

Manages day to day handling of process of Verification/Quality Assurance/ Direct Loans

Use judgment and resourcefulness to interpret circumstances in a variety of situations and establish guidelines that direct how the departmental program will be implemented or impacted.

Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.

At the request of the Director, performs self-assessment reviews using U.S.E.D. self-assessment testing guides.

Conducts internal testing of student records when concerns of or a complete lack of compliance with program rules arises.

Completion of other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid.

Analyze, implement and review organizational structure and process for completing tasks; determine need for changes in procedures and recommend appropriately.

Actively participate in CCCS, State of Colorado, regional and national forums for areas within or related to Financial Aid.

Experience with Federal Department of Higher Education software: FAA Access, COD, NSLDS, EdConnect, EdExpress

Input student data into the college system, current BANNER 8.2

Participate on the academic appeals committee as needed

Head of Student Loan Appeals committee, responsible for reading and making a decision as to loan amounts awarded on a case-by-case basis.

Provided orientation presentation to retention to be used in New Student Orientation sessions.

Prepare and present In-Person counseling sessions to all new loan borrowers to the college as well as interpreting college policies.

Assist new, current and prospective students with the registration process to include admissions, add/drop, transcript requests, name changes, enrollment verifications, and set up of payment plans.

Assist students new, returning and prospective students with the completion of the FAFSA application.

Experience with processing of admissions application and classification of residency status.

Assist new, returning and prospective students with the admission process from, admission to the college, testing, advising and registration.

Counseling students on services available at the college while interpreting the academic polices set forth by the college.

Responsible for answering students questions as it pertains to the admission process

Responsible for directing students to the correct offices within Student Services and college to ensure their needs are met.
