Entirety of active duty spent as a student at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) for the Department of Defense, located at the Presidio, in Monterey, California. I was being trained as a Russian linguist. In May 1979, I received a "hardship discharge" to function as a caretaker for both a parent and a grandparent with severe medical disabilities, and as the eldest daughter took care of the children remaining in the home. My schooling was not completed.
I am very active in my church and take my spiritual development very seriously. My life "rules" have always been faith based, and I hold these beliefs very close to my heart.
I have led a women's Bible study group, regularly sing in the choir, and assist in ministry dinners for 50+ people.
While my children were young I was active in their school as the PTA President from 1991-1996. I also was active in organizing a Little League Program in Idaho City, ID, and was on the managing Board from 1991-2000. I was very active in fund-raising for many large projects.
