For the last four years I have volunteered with a family with nine kids with down syndrome and autism. Eight adopted, Five adopted from Ukraine, one from Ethiopia, and three domestically. Therefore, I have a lot of experience with hard work and dedication. I also did part time for my grandfathers water purifying company. I carried tanks, and crawled under houses. Almost all of the heavy lifting.
I interacted with customers, while the jobs we're being done. I went under houses and changed water filters. And carried heavy tanks back and forth. I would assist in making up the tanks and making sure they were good to go.
I was a volunteer caregiver. My responsibilities included bathing the children, waking them up for school. Making sure they were well behaved in restaurants, helping them with homework. It took being patient, and kind, and loving.
My family and I are missionaries to Ukraine, where we work in the special needs orphanages. Right now we have a non-profit that is working with the Ukrainian government to get kids out of the orphanages and into an american style foster care system. While we're there I mainly organize crafts for the kids, and played songs on the guitar for them. While we're back in the states, I handle the social media marketing.
