Rebecca Pugh is entering her first year as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance & Student-Athlete Academic Services and her six year at UNLV. Pugh is directly responsible for monitoring and maintaining institutional compliance with the NCAA, Mountain West Conference (MWC), and University rules/regulations relating to amateurism, recruitment, eligibility, and financial aid. In addition, she is responsible for promoting the academic success and retention of all student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Compliance Office and Student-Athlete Academic Services. As of April 2013, she has taken on the role of Sport Administrator for the Cheer and Dance teams. In addition to her role as Assistant Athletics Director, Pugh serves as a UNLV Faculty Senator (2010-2013 term) and a member of the following university committees: NCAA Compliance Committee, Student Issues Committee, and Student-Athlete Well-Being Task Force.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the NCAA & MWC Manual and governance structure.
Good working knowledge of University and State business policies, procedures and regulations, including but not limited to State Administrative Manual, Board of Regents Code and Nevada Administrative Code.
Good working knowledge of UNLV financial aid, admissions, degree requirements, and compliance policies & procedures.
Advanced skill in communications and public relations. Ability to speak and write using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, and explain policies and procedures. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with issues which at times may be sensitive in nature or occur in a hostile or political environment.
Advanced ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature and accept equivocal circumstance without hindering production.
Strong organizational skills.

Ability to maintain accurate and complete records.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Designer, Compliance Assistant, NCAA LSDBi, PeopleSoft, Orgsync.com, Playerguest.com, Passlists.com, Lotus Notes, and Google Drive.
First Aid/CPR Certified.
