I am a Nice, loving, experienced and patient nanny/babysitter. My main responsibilities are to provide safe, nurturing care for children. I do not work through any agencies but am employed by the parents on a live-out basis. I love to help kids get through their day with patience, kindness and a genuine concern for their safety and well-being. I help with things such as potty training, table manners, clean up time, and homework, and I always follow the parent's rules. I do other household duties as well, like laundry and light housework, other than that I make the time I spend with the children a fun and learning time!
Some, of what I believe to be great accomplishments is I babysat a special needs child back when I first started babysitting around the age of 15. It has taught me a lot and opened my eyes to how I can help these families.
Another would be all the volunteer work I did throughout high school and over the summer. My mom had her own Montessori School and I was her assistant for quite some time. I volunteered to be a tutor for children. I volunteered at multiple day cares and after school programs. I volunteered at a party place for kids as well.
Was the president of two clubs, and a historian for another. Not only was I the president of the salsa club I also was the choreographer.
I feel a have achieved many personal accomplishments as well, such as my time management skills, or always being chosen as the neighborhood babysitter over the others, for reasons, as I've been told, such as being very sweet, caring, reliable and trustworthy.
This was one of my volunteering jobs at a kids party center. Here I helped supervised children while parents sat back to relax. Engaged children with games, arts and crafts, face painting, and balloon twisting. Helped to promote good behavior. Sparked creativity and imagination by helping children discover new things, and helped to maintain a child-friendly environment with engaging activities.
This started as a volunteer position but later become my paying job. I help tutor kids of all ages but mostly those in 1st to 6th grade. I tutor in the subjects english, math, science and help a little with French.
The director and supervisor of this day care and the after program that is ran here is the same for the Little Party Animals in which I helped with parties and special events. Here I also helped to supervise the children, encouraged safe, positive behaviors, modeled appropriate social behaviors and encouraged concern for others. Helped with Cleaning at the end of the day, including, sweeping and mopping. Physically and verbally interacted with children throughout the day, engaging them with games and puzzles, class activities and helped to tutor the children in whatever subject or homework they needed help with.
Here I took an American Red Cross Guard Start Course. This course taught me the aquatic and leadership knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future Lifeguards and Swim Instructors. After completing this course I applied for the JAWS (Junior Aquatic Water Safety) Program which where I participated and assisted with teaching swim lessons of all ages, but mostly 3-14 years of age, and helped with the operation of the Swim Center. I was cpr certified while going here and learned about drowning and injury prevention, fitness, response, leadership and professionalism.
I graduated this year and have received my high school diploma.
Before I attended Freedom High I came here for about one year.
