   Accomplished researcher  interested in applying critical thinking and technical skills gained as a researcher to a clinical setting.  Due to an interest in transitioning towards patient care, I recently obtained my CNA License. 
     As a Certified Nursing Assistant, my skills involve obtaining vitals, assisting residents with activities of daily living including helping with meals, transferring, bathing, dressing and grooming.       My previous position as a Anatomic Pathology Technician at Massachusetts General Hospital gave me more than 5 years of experience integrating objective research with teaching and leading research projects. Prior to that, I worked at Brigham and Women's as a Research Coordinator. I gained extensive knowledge of medical regulations and policies and a dedication to informed patient care. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Clinical Skills: Obtain vital signs and turn or reposition patients who are bedridden. Bathe and dress patients. Serve meals and help patients eat, Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and doctors. Provide and empty bedpans. Lift patients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc. Answer patient calls and examine patients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds. Clean and sanitize patient areas and change bed sheets and restock rooms with necessary supplies.
