I have 10 years in the Army national Guard. there I was a diesel and recovery mechanic. I have skills in many different fields. I' ve worked mainly in the oil field for the last 8 years. but have had other jobs in between. I am no master of any field but I am looking for a career that I can learn and advance in. A career that lay offs isn't a issue. I learn quickly and have the ability to work hard.
I have many safety awards from the drilling companies I have worked for. Depicting my ability to do dangerous task safely and efficiently. I have many medals for achievement in the military under harsh conditions and difficult task. I have received many raises and plaques and coins and such awards for my safety and achievements. including bonuses.
I started with precision as a floorhand. I had experience in this field for years. I worked there as a floorhand for 1.5 years then was promoted to a derrickhand. As a derrickhand, i worked at hieghts and was overseeing and performing preventative maintainanace on large mud pumps and other equipment. I was also in control of the keeping the drilling fluids at certain viscosities and weights. I had to maintain sand contents and PH. Its a very stressful and physically challenging job.
