As the Business Office Manager (BOM) at Gladwin Nursing & Rehabilitation Community I was responsible for Accounts Receivables and for processing Accounts Payable. I went after and retrieved old debt and was one of the first BOM to do a PEME to collect old medicaid balances. I also handled the Trust Fund and kept it balanced. I answered phones, handled family complaints, help families fill out Medicaid Applications and also checked and confirmed insurances before residents came into the building to gaurantee payment. I assisted the Administrator with any other duties she needed me to complete.
Worked in finance office evaluating insurance billing and billed units. Also worked with scheduling and working with Social Workers and their appoinments off premise and fitting in appoinments with psychiatrist, verifying insurance .
During High School I was a cheerleader for one year but my main activity was downhill skiing.
