After several years in clinical dental hygiene, I decided to further my education to complete my Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After accepting a part time position at Ferris State University I enrolled at Central Michigan University to complete my Master's Degree in Training and Development. I will graduate in December of 2017, with my only class left the completion of my thesis. I found that I enjoy engaging students to learn the sciences and to help them to use critical thinking skills to fully understand the concepts that allow them to understand the reasoning behind the lessons. Through the process of obtaining my master's degree, I have studied curriculum and development, learning styles, diversity of student populations and the skill set of a successful teacher and mentor.
