Opening and closing the CASA House during scheduled hours, orient the Advocates and children
on house use, supervise Advocate and child visits at the CASA house and ensure guidelines are
followed, ensure that each visitor signs in and out at the front desk, plan, develop, and facilitate
weekend activities, collaborate with CASA staff and volunteers, provide info about children's
activities and resources as well as community events, handle telephone calls and transfer to voice
Supervised volunteers and new homeless apprentices on the farm, greenhouse management and record keeping, set up farm stand, customer service, experience working and running a CSA, experience working with local non-profits, recorded sales and kept a running file on plants, supported HGP's mission at providing a safe place for Laurel Street's developmentally disabled adults.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Currently volunteering in the court appointed special
advocate program CASA is a child's voice in dependency court, providing advocacy, stability, and
hope to children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned.
Duties include: Investigate the needs of the child by reading the child's entire welfare file,
connecting with teachers, foster parents, social workers, doctors, mental health professionals,
relatives, parents, attorneys- everyone involved.
