I trained with the company in it's original location in Jasper, Alabama before it was bought out and I spearheaded the transition of the company to Missouri, where it has prospered. Comforts of Home was a small company that provided personal care for mentally handicapped and terminally ill adults whose families needed help during the day time hours. I provided personal care, hygiene care, and medication management for 4 clients. This company closed in November and the owners asked me to stay on board and help them jump start their new business venture, Railway Signs.
I worked the front desk at the local YMCA and provided customer service. I sold memberships, handled sports registration, manned all customer calls, and assisted in the over all upkeep of the facility.
I began my career as a Medical Assistant using my training in EMS following graduation. I worked for 3 physicians at Humansville Family Medical Center for 7 months before being promoted and working specifically for one doctor as his assistant. Citizens Memorial Hospital opened a brand new clinic in Bolivar called the Soutside Clinic, and they requested I moved to that clinic and split my time with the doctor I was working with. He and I worked half the time in Humansville and half the time in Bolivar, doubling our workload and patient volume. I was solely responsible for his patients, scheduling, specific doctor policies, and assisting him in medical procedures.
I studied in the medical field and obtained certification in Emergency Medical Services. I was at the top of my class, worked on ambulances, developed personal skills, and excelled in helping others.
I attended Halfway Schools for 13 years. During my time there I received multiple Academic Achievement Awards, tutored special needs kids and young students, and graduated 3rd in my class. In softball I earned All- Area, All-Conference, All-District, and MVP honors in 4 years.
I attended Ozarks Technical College but stopped short of my graduation due to demands of the training out of state for my job and then transitioning the company. I have developed Computer Skills including all Microsoft office programs, Photoshop, Flexi-Sign, and Adobe programs. As well as general education courses.
I attended this college and played Collegiate Softball, increasing social skills and time/work manageability. I transferred to OTC after I ended my softball career due to injury. Here I excelled in many classes such English, Social Studies, and Public Speaking.
