Mutual Fund Project
Formulated mutual fund strategies based on the 10 year historical returns of stocks listed in US as a part of the Final Project for FIN 7041 i e. Investments and presented an executive summary for the same. The strategy was formulated based on analysis popular stock return predictors which included Market Beta, Market Capitalization, Book to Market Ratio, Return Momentum, Annual Investments to Assets-Ratio and ROE. Fund strategies were designed based on different objectives keeping in mind the goals of investors. Some of the basis for strategy selection were Maximization of Sharpe Ratio, Minimization of fund volatility, Minimization of Downside risk, Maximization of Alpha relative to CAPM. Performed Regression analysis using E-views 9 statistical software. Robustness checks were done and the strategies were back tested.
