My goal is to use my new Master of Arts in Educational Technology to enhance the course quality and student retention with quality online courses at the University of Cincinnati. As instructional technologist, faculty and students will have immediate answers their online course questions in English or Spanish.
-Assist nursing faculty and students with technology involving clinicals
-Write training documents with Office 365 and Adobe InDesign
-Use Adobe Creative Cloud to create images and flyers for workshops
-Hold workshops and provide technical support for Blackboard and Panopto (campus multimedia program) for students and faculty.
-Use campus multimedia to provide training materials for online courses
-Work with campus webmaster to update Online Learning support pages
-Create online training courses for faculty
-Translate documents and interpret for Spanish-speaking students and staff
-Used technology and Desire 2 Learn to teach all levels of ESL Reading, Writing, grammar, and communication courses
-Taught English 3600, a freshman composition class for international students
-Wrote department instructions for D2L, our campus learning management system
-Used D2L as a student in from educational technology courses
-Wrote curriculum documents for department accreditation
-Used Blackboard and later Canvas to teach 16 hours of all English as a Second Language reading, writing, and communication courses in all levels
-Supervised reading teachers through meetings and classroom observations
-Created all instructional support and technology training materials for the ESL program
