Accomplishments

Implemented an Action Plan at Marsh Fork Elementary (2012-2013) measuring the effect of the increased emphasis of including non-fiction text, writing, and text dependent questioning on student reading comprehension in grades 3-5 as measured by the 2012 WETEST 2 as a baseline, and the WV Acuity Benchmarks on the identified corresponding standard at each grade level.

  • 3rd Grade showed an increase of 44% accuracy from pretreatment phase
  • 4th Grade showed an increase of 34% accuracy from the pretreatment phase
  • 5th Grade showed an increase of 110% accuracy from the pretreatment phase

Designed and delivered,in collaboration with other Academic Coaches, a year long sustained professional development in Writing which increased student writing scores across the county by ____ as measured by the writing segment of the 2011-2012 Westest II Summative Assessment.
