To whomever this may concern I am an Able Seaman unlimited who works for Seafarers International Union. My primary duties are ship maintenance, upkeep of the vessels decks, up keep of the vessels bulkheads, docking and undocking. I also perform bridge duties as a lookout and ships helmsman. I have 7 years of experiences in this type of work. During my leave time i have worked with staffing companies to gain further knowledge and experience pertaining to my career. Throughout my time as a Merchant seamen I have received certifications and training on numerous subjects for ship maintenance, repairs and material safety. I have 2 years of experience working for Navo as a civilian contractor helping perform over the side Oceanographic Survey operations .

I received my Ordinary Seamen certification after one year of work and training. I performed duties on the ships deck and the ships bridge and completed assessments in Navigational watch and ships deck maintenance. After 2 years I received my Able Seamen special certification after passing a series of test. The test consistent of ships safety, lifeboat, survival craft, performing navigational watch and rules of the road. I now have earned my Able seaman unlimited.
I have 3 years of experience in oceanographic survey operations while working for Navo as a civilian contractor. I have experience in storage of ship containers and ship maintenance and repair. I worked 6 months on a car carrier were my job consisted of securing and lashing the vehicles and policing the decks for any obstructions to the vehicles.
My experience includes Ship Maintenance and repair, chipping, sanding, Priming, painting, sanding, rigging and securing ship containers and military supplies, operating cranes, and tank cleaning. I have experience in storage of Hazardous Ordnances such as Bombs, Missiles and ammo. I also have experiences in standing watches as ship security and reaction force for protection of the ships vessel. I performed as a lasher and refuel detailer in helo operations with the US Navy. I have experience working with Navo as a civilian contractor on a Oceanographic Survey vessel performing oceangraphic operations.
