For 14 years, I have been committed to the academic and social success of every student. As I became experienced in the classroom, administrators commented on my strong leadership qualities and the capacity to manage challenging behavior calmly and effectively (with students and adults). From this I have acquired a leadership style that is founded on the establishment of positive relationships with fellow professionals and parents. The positive attitude I exude attracts all invested parties to become willing participants in the plan, feeding off of the energy and momentum that I inspired. As I evolve in my professional career, it is my goal to use my positive energy, knowledge of educational best practices, and leadership mechanics to ignite a passion and fire in every school that I work in. Excellence is the only option. As an instructional leader, I will ensure that the teachers I work with understand that excellence starts with guaranteeing that every student is progressing and is held to high expectations. My classroom experience has made me adept at challenging students to reach their full potential and as an instructional leader I will work to coach teachers to work in a manner that is most beneficial for their students. As a budding school leader I have had the opportunity to learn how to advocate for students by collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators. In these efforts, I consistently strived to create and employ the best learning and assessment methods possible. The pairing of my experience with the knowledge and skills acquired in the realm of Educational Leadership and Policy has equipped me with a drive and focus geared at garnering educational excellence in schools.
