I was a manager of a Menards for 6 years. Forklift Certified and other equipment also. Very familiar with computers and how to accurately work with vendors to make sure we are receiving the correct products.
I overseen the operations of the whole store. Which included making sure the store was opened on time and secured when we left for the night. It included overseeing 10 departments and communicating throughout the day on what was being done to be efficient as a store. Making sure our grounds were maintained and our building. I was in charge of the facility projects. And handling any guest issues that might arise in a day and find an appropriate solution for the problem.
When I first started in 2004 I pulled and loaded customer orders that were to go out on delivery. Which I had to make sure was accurate and correctly loaded. I did this for two years that is when I got into Management. I had to oversee all the yard shipping receiving operations which included making sure all trucks were getting unloaded in a timely matter and accurately entering paperwork into our computer system. I also had to make sure my equipment was maintained. And manage a group of about 20 guys keeping them efficient. While still helping our guests who came into the yard to purchase material.
