The cosmetology training offered at Santa Rosa Beauty College was a one year program. I attended the school 6 days a week, completing my training in 9 months. I took my first state boards in San Francisco, CA receiving my first license (one out of three state licenses obtained) in January, 1972.
Attended many classes at the annual Seattle Hair Show, as well as continual coloring and cutting classes in Wenatchee and Moses Lake in Washington state.
1988 - 1990 Completed all prerequisites required for the X-ray Tech Program. Was accepted into the X-ray Tech program as an intern. I chose not to complete the program due to extenuating family matters.
Traveled from Washington state to Tucson, AZ to train in the art of permanent cosmetics application. Received my Softap certification upon completing the intensive 6 day course.
