Although the sagging economy has made this a particularly tough time for young people to find part-time and summer jobs (exacerbated by jobless older people pursuing jobs typically filled by youth), the federal government’s economic stimulus is creating opportunities for teens in many states. Check local news outlets and try googling “teen jobs” and “stimulus” periodically to learn of programs in your area — or check your local congressional office.
The user pastes in job postings of interest from job boards. The tool then finds and displays the keyword combinations common to the job descriptions you entered. When you see keywords repeated in several job descriptions, they may be good candidates to add to your resume.
The national survey included responses from 457 workers 18 years of age or older and employed full- or part-time in an office environment. It was conducted by an independent research firm and developed by Accountemps, a specialized staffing service for temporary accounting, finance and bookkeeping professionals.
