Separate your information into appropriate categories
Stuffing a single section with too many bullet points detracts from the specific skills and traits that you will want to highlight. The Highlights section can contain personal traits and soft skills, while there can be a separate Skills category that brings attention to training and qualifications. Make sure to list these items from top to bottom in order of importance. WRONG: Highlights
The accomplishments section should highlight awards or notable accomplishments
The accomplishments section in the sample resume has some strong accomplishments, but it also includes some general experience such as Machine Troubleshooting and Problem Diagnosis that would be more suitable in the Experience category. The skills described are essentially described in other words in the experience section, making them unnecessary in the accomplishments section.
Make sure all lists are in bullet point format
It is not a good idea to put the duties and specific experience in the Experience section in paragraph form. A bullet list will serve to better highlight each individual qualification, as well as making the list to appear longer. This will also make the resume a lot easier to read, and an employer can refer back to specific points more easily. WRONG: Machine Operator February 2011 to July 2011 Amtrol ?
