Create an accomplishments section if there are at least three notable items to add
Many times, applicants get the accomplishments section wrong by adding general or vague details instead of notable achievements like promotions, metric data or awards. Hansi has some of these items in his experience section, but does not include them in an accomplishments section. Avoid including employment older than 15 to 20 years
When an applicant’s career is more than 20 years long, it is tempting to include all of that information. Often, this information is irrelevant because better employment and skills have occurred in more recent employment. Because of this, all employment older than 15 or 20 years should be left off of a resume, unless the older employment happens to be more relevant to a new position than the most recent employment. Hansi includes jobs in the mid-90s that need to be removed.
Use periods at the end of sentences
The sentences in the experience section may not seem like complete sentences that require a period at the end, but they do. Hansi leaves this punctuation off, which makes the resume look less professional. He needs to make sure this errors is fixed before he sends his resume off to an employer.
