A summary is a short snippet at the top of a resume that highlights why you’re the perfect fit for a job. In this example, the summary is a very long and dense paragraph. A skills section enables the hiring manager to read through information quickly and efficiently. He or she most likely won’t have the time or inclination to read a long paragraph.
Use proper punctuation and grammar
Punctuation and grammar are very important components to a quality resume. Hiring managers look at how well an applicant can present himself on paper, and this includes his ability to follow standard grammar rules. This resume has many grammar errors. We’ve tackled some in the experience section in order to show you how they should be changed. Wrong: Sheet metal worker April 2009 to June 2013Dayton, OH

Use proper formatting in education section
The education section is usually the shortest, and as a result, it’s easy for the eye to pick out any errors or inconsistencies. The applicant would want to make sure that his education section follows proper grammar rules. We would change this section to be as follows: Wrong: Education and Training Middletown high school middletown ohio Right: Education and Training Middletown High School Middletown, Ohio He can also add his graduation date, if he desires.
