When you are creating an RN case manager resume, taking advantage of expert advice is an excellent way to boost your chances of getting called for an interview. Sometimes your resume is the only document that will determine if you are selected or not. Create a professional summary
Your summary is the first thing employers will read. Always remember that this is their first impression of you. Be sure to stay professional. This resume uses pronouns and says I have been and I am. While the summary is the only location where you can get away with using pronouns, it is still recommended against, if for no other reason because of consistency. However, adding a personal touch is a very effective strategy; just be sure to avoid sacrificing professionalism. You can mention some personal traits that are relevant to the position and would benefit the employer. Additionally, be sure that your summary is an overview of your abilities and experiences, not your goals or objectives. This one starts strong, but looses focus when it says, I am seeking a position in which I can continue to do the work I believe myself be to good at and work in a professional environment.
Manage the order
The order of the difference sections does more than just organize the information. It determines which information is prioritized. This is especially important when you realize that most employers will not read all the way through your resume. Start with a summary, overview of skills, and possibly an achievements section. Do not include technical information near the top of the page, such as licenses. In this resume, this section should be moved to the bottom.
Format the professional experiences
If the reader makes it all the way to your working history, it is likely that they are at least partially sold on you. Do not lose them here with sloppy formatting. It is important to note that this resume is almost perfect in this section. The one way it could be improved is by formatting it as a bulleted list instead of a paragraph. Ultimately, it just comes down to how easy the information is to read. Even though this is technically a mistake, the writer managed the length of each point very effectively, which brings up an important point: even if something is technically wrong, being consistent and visual appealing is the most important aspect. This formatting does take up more room, but this resume has some extra space at the bottom that should be filled somehow. If your resume is struggling to fit everything on one page, paragraph formatting can be used as a last resort. It would be better, however, to consolidate bullets and compress some information. Aim for about four bullets for each position. Also be sure to start each line with a strong action verb. Your resume is your chance to really sell your abilities and skills to employers.
