Leave out objective statement

The reason for this is that objective statements are pretty much pointless because they usually say something along the lines of how you are looking for a new job. Clearly, you are looking for different work, so you should format accordingly and have a summary in place of an objective.
Your skills come after the summary
There is a certain order every resume should maintain with minimal deviations. The standard format is that the skills section should come directly after your initial summary, and then you can get into your professional experience. Similar to how the purpose of a summary is to give a general overview of who you are as a professional, a list of your skills should be given to provide the employer with a sense of what you are capable of and to see if you have the necessary abilities to excel in the position.
Maintain consistent tenses
Once you get into your work history, you want to talk about the various jobs you have held in the correct tenses. Naturally, past tense should be used for jobs in the past while present tense should be used for the job you have right now. Cut phrases like Responsible for
You may have noticed that we changed the bullet point mentioned above that previously began with the phrase Responsible for. The reason for this is that you never want to begin a bullet point under work experience with a passive phrase, and instead, you want to start every point with an active verb. Generally speaking, once you have graduated you can eliminate your GPA from your resume. Hiring managers will be more interested in the skills and experiences you have acquired.
