If you are applying to be a licensed pharmacy intern, make sure you create the best resume possible. This licensed pharmacy resume sample will allow you to get ideas for your own fantastic resume. Here are some great things about this sample resume and things you should consider changing when you make your own.
Showcase Your Skills
When you make a resume, you want to choose 10-12 of your most important skills to put on your resume. This sample resume has some fantastic skills listed. However, more of them would make the resume even stronger. The CPR certification can be removed because it’s already listed under licenses. There is never a need to repeat yourself on a resume. This brings the sample down to 6 skills. Those 5 work well, so adding 5-7 more would be a great idea. When you add skills to your resume, choose skills that aren’t learned. For example, many people will choose skills that anyone knows when they are in that career field. For example, excellent at filling prescriptions wouldn’t be useful. Something like, amazing attention to detail would be a lot better. This shows that you could notice when people have fake prescriptions or if the wrong medication has been filled.
List Plenty of Work History
Many employers want at least 7 years of work experience whether it pertains to the field that you are applying for or not. If you don’t have 7 years of experience, than put down all the experience that you have. Even if you haven’t been a pharmacy technician long, you could have had other jobs that have taught you other important skills you need to have, such customer service experience. What doesn’t seem important to you might be important to your potential employers.
Proper Resume Formatting
Formatting your resume properly is extremely important. First, every section on your resume should use bullet lists except for the professional summary. As you can see, this resume does a great job of using bullet lists. However, they should be used under the community service section too. It would clean up the section and show how much community service you actually do at a quick glance. Here is an example of how it would look. Wrong Community Service Volunteered at various local homeless shelters and soup kitchens in metro Denver through my church to help connect and empathize with people less well off than me whether it be financial, emotional, or health problems. The frequency was approximately once a month. Duration of volunteering was from 03/01/2010 to 08/01/2013. Right Community Service [Name of Homeless Shelter 1] – Date

Having proper white space is important. All of the information in the resume is formatted almost perfectly. The headings are clear, the information is in proper lists, and any employer can find what they are looking for easily. The only thing that would make it any better is having more white space between the different sections. Having a few spaces between each section would give the resume a cleaner look. Other than the few, small details that could make the resume stronger and more visually appealing, the resume is fantastic. It has strong information and great formatting. Make sure you list the most important information that you can think of and list all the categories in order of importance.
