Format the accomplishments section correctly
Every section of the resume comes with its own set of rules, and the accomplishments section is no different. Ian does a great job of including notable and measurable items to his list, such as awards and metrics. However, he includes some certifications that would be better suited in the education section of the resume. He also needs to make sure each detail is given a bullet point. Use bullet points in the employment section
Bullet points should also be used in the employment section to offset details from the rest of the text found in this area. Ian does not follow this resume requirement. He would need to create clarity in this section by placing a bullet point by each employment entry and putting each sentence in a vertical list. Format all education entries
The education section can be tricky, but following the rules will make this section seamless. Each entry should be written the same way, leaving all sentences off. The school name, location, education program, and date should be included. High school should only be listed if a high school diploma is the only education to list.
