Summary should be six lines long at most
It is highly beneficial to begin your resume with a concise summary, so the hiring manager learns some basic information about you and has a good idea of what else is going to be on your resume. You want it to be long enough to intrigue someone, but you do not want it to get too long where someone feels exhausted after reading it. One look at the summary on this sample resume will show anyone that it is far too lengthy. For his most recent job, he says that he left due to safety concerns, and the one before that says that he left in order to find better work. If a hiring manager wants to know why you left a specific job, then it will be asked of you. There is never any reason why you should include it directly onto your resume.
Do not include elementary school education
This should really go without saying, but a potential employer is not really going to care that you went to middle school. In many circumstances, you can even get by without putting information about your high school education. Employers will care more about the experiences you have earned through various positions. If you have earned a college degree, then that should definitely be brought up. There are numerous tricks to writing a resume that will help in catching the eye of a prospective employer.
