Summary should be around four to six sentences
Some employers decide whether they are going to read the rest of a resume based solely on the summary. Therefore, you want to put in some time and effort to make sure that yours is effective at grabbing someone’s attention. In order to provide an ample amount of information, you should try to have at least four sentences, so you give a general overview of your experiences and skills. This sample resume only has two sentences, so the writer would want to think of a couple more things to say in this portion.
Skill section should have short statements without periods
Directly underneath your summary should be a section devoted to your skillset, and for this part, you want to make sure that every bullet point is short and concise. Complete sentences are not required, and you do not even need to have periods at the end of the points. Therefore, one way to rewrite this section to make it more succinct, so it goes like this:

Generally, the summary is really the only part of your resume that should be presented as a paragraph instead of bullet points. Simply separating each point by putting it on a different line is not enough. You really need to have the bullet points to clearly convey when one point begins and when one point ends. Therefore, you would simply want to redo this resume sample’s accomplishments section, so it is more along the lines of:

Past tense should be used when talking about jobs held in the past
Once you have altered your work history section so that everything is separated with bullet points, you want to ensure you are using the proper tense for every job. That means using the present tense for present work and past tense for past work. Although this person quit her job at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania in 1990, the points are still written in the present. Instead, they should look like this:
Try to get at least five bullet points for each job
Your resume is your chance to sell yourself to a completely new employer. Therefore, you want to be as specific as you can about everything you did at every previous workplace. Therefore, instead of having just three bullet points as listed above, you should try to get at least five.
