Pitch yourself in your summary

To make your resume look more professional, don’t employ abbreviations unless they are very commonly known. Avoid using ampersands unless they’re part of a company name or other official title.
Bullet point your work experience
As your work experience is the backbone of your resume, you want to draw attention to it. Use bullet points when listing your duties and accomplishments for each position, ending every point with a period. Each different responsibility should start with its own point, to highlight the number of responsibilities you held. Don’t go back to high school
The education section of a resume should include all college degrees and coursework, but if you can list advanced education, anything before is unnecessary. If high school is your only formal education, include it, but anyone with college experience is generally assumed to have a high school diploma or equivalent. Removing such superfluous details will keep your resume’s length down, ensuring that the hiring managers are looking at the most relevant items.
While it may be tempting to make every section of your resume stand out with a unique look, changing the formatting between headers can be distracting, making it more difficult to parse the information offered.
