You never have another chance to make a good first impression. Your resume is your opportunity to catch the attention and interest of a potential employer. If you want to stand out in a competitive job market, having a well-written resume is a must. This Customer Services Rep in New Mexico resume sample has been reviewed with tips on how to make your resume present you in the best possible way.
Use Bullets not Paragraphs
Your experience should be easy to read and the main points should jump out at a reviewer. No one is going to take the time to read a paragraph of text. Always use bullets with strong action verbs. Where possible, use solid metrics to show the effectiveness of your work. How many people did you train? What were some changes you suggested that were implemented, and what effect did they have? Current experience should be written in the present tense. Although you want to use your resume to say as much about you as possible, it still needs to be relevant. In this sample, the first two duties under the first job description are redundant, and this just makes the resume look padded. Be sure to re-word any bullets or sentences that are saying the same thing. Make Your Accomplishments Stand Out

Who were you working for and what were some of the reasons behind your promotion? This section needs at least three bullet points in order to stand alone. The quality control study participation in this sample is better placed as an accomplishment than buried in a line of bullets in the experience section. Provide specifics on how you added value to any projects on which you were a team member.
