Not only that but since only one license is mentioned, it would actually be better to just put it with education instead of giving it its own different section. You always want to be concise as possible when working on your resume, and if there is no real reason to give something its own segment, then just find another place for it.
Stick to a maximum of eight points per column underneath skills
If a job description said that the company is looking for candidates with certain skills, then it can be incredibly helpful to include some of those skills mentioned within your resume. You never want to lie about having a skill you do not actually possess, but having a highlights section is useful for filling your resume with relevant keywords. However, you should be mindful to never overload any given section with information, and in regards to your skills, you should stick with eight skills at most for each column. On this sample resume, both columns have more than eight, so the writer would want to consider getting rid of skills that maybe are not as relevant to the position as others or find a way to combine similar talents.
Always provide an end date for each job
Underneath professional experience on the sample resume, we see that she started working at Visiting Nurse Community Health in August 2012, but no end date is given. We have no idea if she still works there or if she quit a while ago. You always want to make it clear to the hiring manager when exactly you worked at each job, and if you still work there, then just write Current.
Divide paragraphs with bullet points
It is not recommended to write out your work history using paragraphs, and instead, you should format everything as a list. Standard bullet points can be used to divvy up the material so that it is easier to read. To use the information given for Visiting Nurse Community Health, we would want to rewrite it like this:
