Get rid of the accomplishments section
If an applicant has three or more notable achievements to include in an accomplishments section, then it should exist. However, if an applicant has only one or two accomplishments, then this section should be left off. Richard only lists one, so he needs to instead put that information with the job is pertains to.
Always use bullet points to separate information in a list
One of the first things that an employer notices is whether or not a resume is going to be a quick read. Using bullet points in the experience section does create that initial sense of organization that every resume needs. Richard doesnt use them, which makes his experience section harder to follow. To make it more likely that an employer would spend the time reading his resume, he should add a bullet point before every sentence. After that, he needs to make sure all of the details are put in list form. WRONG: Manager September 2002 to July 2006Circle C ? Keep your job details limited to eight points
Now that Richards resume is in list form with bullet points, its obvious to see that it is a lot of information. Job details are always important to include on a resume, but there is a limit to how much is actually useful. There should only be five to eight details included per job. To fix this, Richard needs to remove duties that are least important or are similar to other job duties listed.
