List plenty of previous employment
The applicant for this sample resume graduated from high school in 1990, yet only one job is listed for 2009. The job also doesnt say how long it lasted. If a job is current, you need to write 2009-current, or whatever the start year is. This way, the employer knows how long you were there. There should be at least seven years of experience listed since the applicant has been out of school for 25 years. Even if the experience doesnt seem relevant, it shows that you are responsible and have been holding jobs. It also shows that you have a lot of experience working, even if it is in another field. This sample resume is a good example, it just needs some work to be great. Use this advice along with the sample to build your own resume with the LiveCareer resume builder.
