Even if you are completely qualified for a certain job, you are going to have a hard time getting it if you have a less than stellar resume. Employers place a lot of weight on applicants resumes, so you need to ensure that yours is of the highest quality possible. Summary should be at least four lines long
Beginning your resume with a summary is a good way to let the hiring manager know some basic things about yourself that make you the perfect candidate for the job. Accomplishments should come after skills if it should be there at all

However, you also want to make sure that the achievements you list under an accomplishments section are actually noteworthy and are not just general parts of your job description. On this sample resume, he talks about designing pipe systems and heat exchangers, but those do not seem too particularly noteworthy. Those might be better suited to simply go underneath work experience. Having an accomplishments section is completely optional, so do not feel compelled like you absolutely need to have one.
Use present tense for current jobs
This resume sample states that he is currently working at a position at F.A.B Automotive. However, the only bullet point listed under it is written in the past tense. You want to pay careful attention that there are no grammatical mistakes or spelling errors on your resume. Therefore, that bullet point should be rewritten to be in the correct tense like this:
Aim for a minimum of five bullet points for every place of work
All of the jobs this person has worked at are only given one or two bullet points, and that is not enough to give a prospective employer a good sense of what he did at each place. A general rule of thumb to follow is to try to get at least five bullet points for every position you have held. An easy fix for this sample resume would be to move some of the points under the accomplishments section to the appropriate position.
Never include a list of references
If an employer wants to speak to your references, then he or she will ask for it separately. You should never include this list directly onto your resume because it is just going to needlessly take up space. You want the focus of your resume to be on your skills, talents and experiences that make you the perfect candidate for the job. Some hiring managers will not even want to speak to your references at all, and in those instances, including a list becomes extremely unnecessary.
