Use the Right Information
Throughout your career, you accumulate a lot of skills and accomplishments that you want to share on your resume. However, you need to know which information to add, and which information you can leave out. This resume reads like a book. There is a lot of heavy information written in complete sentences. You need to have clear sections with short and crisp bullet lists to give examples of the information. The sections that you want for your resume include:

Writing Your Summary
Your professional summary needs to be at the top of your resume. This resume says professional summary at the top, but its not a summary. It is a compilation of 17 bullet points that take up half the resume. A professional summary should never have bullet points. It should be a short and crisp with 3-4 sentences. Your summary should start with your professional title, your years of experience, and then summarize your professional history and goals. Some of the information on this sample can be transferred to other sections while others dont need to be on the resume at all. Here is an example of a great professional summary. Additional expertise includes management and staff supervision. Strong desire to focus on preventative care and health education. This summary is all that is needed. Its short, punchy, and shows how fantastic this nurse is. Make sure you keep this in mind when you make your own professional summary.
Skills and Highlights
When you write your resume, its important that you dont repeat yourself. This sample resume has many accomplishments listed in the professional summary and the qualifications section. Its already been discussed to take them out of the summary. The qualifications section should be removed too.
