A section for your achievements should include awards you have won or ways in which you have helped a company save money. In this instance, this section should be removed entirely.
Proofread before sending your resume anywhere
This is true for anything you submit in school or at work, but you should always proofread everything carefully before sending it to anyone else. Use bullet points to talk about work experience
The information given for this samples work history is presented incorrectly. All of her previous positions have paragraphs instead of bulleted lists. This needs to be corrected, so the material is easier to read. For example, the material given for Milfford Country News (Romantix) should look like this:
Talk about jobs in the past tense if you do not work at them anymore
She says that she stopped working at Milfford Country New (Romantix) in 1999, yet all of the previously mentioned points are written in the present tense. They should actually be written in the past because she performed these tasks long ago. We should redo this list, so it goes like this:
