In a thank you letter following an interview, thank your interviewer for their time, and for answering your questions about the role and the business. Reiterate your enthusiasm for the role and the business, and then briefly summarize how your skills and background align to the requirements of the role (as a reminder).
At the close of your thank you letter, note that you are excited to learn about next steps in the decision-making process, and be sure to include the best method of contact for reaching you (cell phone number, email address, etc.). Also, note to your interviewer that he/she is free to reach out if any additional questions surfaced on their end once the interview ended.
Your interview thank you letter does not need to be too long – two to three paragraphs will suffice. Aim to send the letter within 24-48 hours after the interview wraps.
