While the job market is constantly changing, this crisis has made specific industries come to a complete standstill. The best way you can combat this is through research -- not just on companies that are hiring, but research on yourself as well. What are your goals, skills, new online innovations, and relevant non-work experiences? The adaptations and things you've learned, even outside of working hours, can translate into transferable skills that work across many different career fields.
Coming from a recent layoff or looking to switch to a new industry was a challenge before, but now there are a lot more factors in the mix. Don't let that discourage you from applying for jobs. Keep your options open and make a plan, noting industries you'd be interested in and people in your network you could reach out to about job possibilities. Use the major job boards to look for a job (like Indeed), and also check out company websites for job listings.
It's also important to read up on the latest job search advice and adjust your resume to be as ATS as friendly as possible.
