With that said, few people truly know how long they plan to stay in any given job. And, employers will rarely ask you about how long you plan to stay. For example, it would be quite unusual for a hiring manager to ask, "So, how long do you intend to stay at this job?"
Your job interview should focus on honestly answering the questions that you are asked. If you are not asked about how long you intend to stay in the job, do not volunteer the information.
If you think of the other side of this coin, if a company didn't need your services any longer, they would eliminate your position. It's just business. And, in the same way that the company will do what is in their best interest, you should also do what's in your best interest.
Long story short, you should always be honest in a job interview. But, you should also not overshare if you are not asked about a particular topic (like this one!).
