When discussing a salary range, you can say something like: "Based on my experience and research of positions with a similar level of responsibility and scope in [city/region], I’m seeking a salary range of [range]." Be aware that if you fail to disclose your salary or at least a range, some recruiters may move on to other candidates. In addition, if an offer is below what you're making now, you might not want to continue with the job process if you're not willing to take a pay cut (if you are willing to take a pay cut, let the recruiter know).
Also, don't lie about your salary history, as recruiters can often verify this information and won't look favorably on a candidate who doesn't tell the truth. At the same time, you can mention that your base pay was enhanced by stock options or bonuses.
