First, look at whether one or more companies list multiple possible interview times. Sometimes you will have a range and you can select a time that conflicts with the fewest other interviews. In the case where one company says they are interviewing Monday to Wednesday and another says Tuesday to Thursday of the same week, you can try for a Monday slot for the first company and a Thursday slot for the second.
However, sometimes you are only given one option and you will need to ask for a different time. You can do this over the phone or via email, whichever seems to be the company's preferred means of communication. You don't have to say the conflict is due to another interview, just politely request a different time that fits your schedule.
