Tailor it to the job you want to get. You can read through the job description to learn more about exactly what the employer wants in an employee. Fill your resume with keywords and phrases relevant to the job you want to better emphasize your fit for the job. While you may want to add extra information to fill an entire page, it's best to keep all of the details relevant to the job.
Focus on the skills you have. As a first-year student, you may not have all of the skills a hiring manager wants to see. You can still focus on the skills and achievements you do have. Explain how you honed your skills in classes, at workshops, or through volunteer work.
