There are many ways to make yourself stand out from other candidates when you are looking for a job in the tech industry. Looking at tech resumes proves this. Your degree is just one part of the package, and in many cases, experience and skills may matter more.
If you choose a B. Tech program that allows you to focus on a specific tech discipline and gain experience in that field, then yes, it is likely to help you get a job. If you earn a B. Tech but have not developed any skills or experience to complement it, then no, it is not likely to be an asset. Consider your competitiveness as a candidate holistically rather than focusing on your degree alone.
