• Names of companies where you worked
• Location of companies
• Job titles and/or positions you held
• How long you worked there
• Bullet list of duties and responsibilities
Here are some other basic do's and don’ts to keep in mind. First, customize your work experience to fit each position. Every job has unique requirements so avoid using the same cookie cutter experiences for everything you apply for. Make sure you Include only the work history and experience most relevant to the job and be brief. Each entry in the work experience section should be clear, concise, and to the point. List jobs you've had in the last 10 -15 years, no older, and focus on your significant accomplishments in those positions.
One final tip is to avoid big gaps in employment history. List other things you did during periods of unemployment in an "Other Experience" section. If you took classes or gained certifications while unemployed, include that as well.
