Some entry-level jobseekers may prefer to write an objective statement that explains why they are seeking a particular position. A summary statement can be better for showcasing relevant skills. The candidate on our entry-level resume sample draws attention to her qualifications in the summary statement and skills section of her resume. She has held two internships and describes these positions in the experience section.
If you have never had an internship, part-time, or work-study job before, you may describe extracurricular activities or informal involvements in the experience section of your resume. You may also structure this section in terms of major skills. Start with the qualifications listed in the job description or your summary statement. The best entry-level resume is one that contains all of the standard resume sections, including experience, and presents an applicant as a qualified candidate.
