To Theresa J. Schmidt Manager, HR Smith Psychological Services 345 Cedar Street New Parkland, CA 91010 41901
Dear Ms. Schmidt,
I am writing this resignation letter with regret to inform you that I will be resigning from my position as Child Therapist with Smith Psychological Services effective in 30 days. My last day of work will be Friday, October 17, 2014. It is because of an upcoming move out of state due to my husband’s job transfer that I must resign from the position I so dearly love and have enjoyed for the past three years. I am grateful for my time here and for the supportive staff I have come to consider friends.
Over the next month, I will inform my clients and work to help them transition smoothly to a new therapist. I am also more than willing to assist in training my replacement and to provide the background information necessary for each case. Should you require any information from me, please feel free to contact me by phone at (555) 555-5555 or you can email me at email@example.com.
Again, I send this resignation letter with regret and hope that my departure will be as smooth as possible. Thank you for your consideration. I wish all of the staff at Smith Psychological success in the future.
