Colonial Family Dollar

100 Broadway Lane

New Parkland, CA, 91010

Dear Mike,

It is with sadness and trepidation that I write this resignation letter.

I have been with Colonial Family for 13 years. I know how important that word ‘family’ is. I could not have asked for a better job or greater people to work with every day. When I joined the ranks, I was fresh out of college and could not imagine anything outside of being Colonial’s CEO!

Now I have been married six years. The relocation created a commute I could have lived without. People like you and Colonial management made it worth my while to stay. That enhanced my respect for and loyalty to this organization. My priorities certainly shifted, but I still looked to a long association here.

But I am going to be a mother again. I missed the first steps of my Lonnie. Was not there when he cried for me on his first day of Pre-K. I do not want to recreate those events with my next child, or the one after that.

As much as it saddens me, I submit my resignation, which goes into effect three weeks from the date of this letter.

Again, it has been a wonderful experience. I thank you and everyone at Colonial Family.

Best regards,

Hope Curtis-Wagner
