September 19, 2014

Dear Ms. Ferguson,

I am writing to inform you that I will be resigning from my position as Office Assistant with the New Parkland Medical Association due to schedule conflict. As you are aware, I have been pursuing my Associate's degree to become a Medical Assistant and am nearing the end of my studies. Unfortunately, the courses I need to complete my program are during my scheduled work hours and cannot be rearranged. Thus, my last day of employment will need to be September 26, 2014. Please consider this my official two weeks' notice.

I am sorry for any inconvenience my resignation may cause. I am more than willing to assist in making the transition of my departure as smooth as possible. I can be reached at (555)555-5555 or melanie@taylor.com should you have any questions.

I have enjoyed my time here at New Parkland Medical Associates and have learned so much that will help me in my future career. I hope that I can remain in touch with the wonderful staff here, and I wish everyone much success. Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Melanie Taylor
