Dear Mr. Wolff,

It is with trepidation that I write this grievance letter. But as department head, my concerns should be brought to your attention.

First, I must say I am not the only person who has an opinion here. Other agents have expressed a concern about the lack of new ideas being generated for marketing our exceptional products and services. Over the last 22 months, we have seen a gradual slip in month-to-month sales and profits throughout our department. Sadly, at the most recent sales meeting, responsibility was passed around, going as far as blaming R&D and our computer software.

This slump coincided with the hiring of the current senior vice president and her bringing in a group of sales people that have not managed to maintain the level of customer service I and this company have always adhered to. Several of these individuals are spending far too much time wining and dining with company expense accounts and not coming back with signed contracts.

I think it is imperative that someone in authority review this situation before it becomes irreparable and hurts the reputation of this firm.

I thank you in advance for your time and hope, per company policy, this grievance letter is kept confidential.

Best regards,

Roger Maillard
