As German automaker Volkswagen looks to increase its production and sales of Passats in the U.S., the company said it will be in need of professionals with finance experience on their resume

to help keep up with its expanding American business.

Volkswagen recently broke ground on a new expansion of its VW Credit Incorporated facility in Libertyville, Illinois, in an effort to align itself with what it calls its “ambitious growth strategy,” according to Bloomberg.

To now hit a run rate of in excess of 10,000 units for the month is a real step in the right direction and, I think, a further endorsement of our product and investment strategy for the U.S. market,” Jonathan Browning, chief executive of Volkswagen Group of America, told reporters earlier this month
VW Credit has approximately 850,000 accounts that serve Volkswagen and Audi-brand customers, which are valued at $20 billion. The division currently employs more than 840 finance professionals in the U.S.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for accountants and auditors are expected to increase by 16% through the end of the decade.
